Supposedly, the rest of the world might get a 1L version! I can't wait.

Do want, I wonder how expensive they are. I'm sure a few will make it to the UK.

Looks interesting but I'm worried that the export version will get heavy.

Personally, I'd shore up that cabin space a bit, because that's pretty ugly for the body.
Other than that, though...

In japan I'm sure they will be under 18K USD. That's a freaking bargain if you ask me.
This will be a direct competitor to the Daihatsu Copen which starts at 1,819,800 yen ($15,200.00 USD or 10,200 GBP)
10/10 Would buy for that price.

When I move to Japan this is what I want! Because I want to be a responsible frugal driver not because it is a sweet sweet mid engined car with manual that I can actually afford, no not at all because of that.

And more powerful.

That's the idea.

Because you don't live in Japan.

I think once they've been out a couple years and a few imports have made their way across they could be even more affordable. The cost of importing pushes the value of this up a bit, but considering you can get a low mile Copen for £3k, in a few years you should be able to get this for around £6k.

It should be easy to import one, it already has the steering wheel on the wrong side.

Yeah, but I can presume.

Indeed, if a fair few make it across the used values could be pretty reasonable too.

Markets have plenty of powerful car but not much light cars. Some document hinted that it might weigh 830 kg (1830 lbs) which is light but still not terribly light. My former daily driver Polo had similar weight and it was pretty normal 5-seater car.
Light cars need to make a come back.

Im actually shocked at how bad this looks in real life.
All the design elements are appealing and I loved the concept sketches.
But packaging them into a small kei car does not lend itself well. The proportions seem way off....kinda like this Chinese GTR copy.
The car would look much better if it was designed over the old S2000.

I'm going back to Japan in May, I'll look for one.
